Oncology Nurse

Caroline Methven has worked in cancer services based at Velindre Cancer Centre for four years.  She joined Cancer Care Cymru in a development post.  Caroline works mainly with patients with Breast and Upper Gastro-Intestinal cancers.  The post is a new one and aims to improve quality in the complex service these patients receive.  Her patients are seen at the Princess of Wales hospital in Bridgend as well as in Velindre and UHW.  Caroline provides crucial continuity of care and is able to give information, advice and support, liaising with other hospital departments and community services where appropriate.  She is working towards a BSc. in Cancer Nursing and Specialist Nurse Title.
