Lead Breast Oncology Nurse Specialist. Director of Patient Services – Cancer Care Cymru

Gill has over 20 years’ cancer experience and during this time has won a number of prestigious awards including the CancerBACUP Health Professional Award.  She is an active member of a number of key professional groups and committees including the National Institute for Clinical Excellence (NICE).
In her role as Breast Specialist Nurse, Gill has been instrumental in initiating and developing nurse led chemotherapy clinics for breast cancer patients.  At Velindre Cancer Centre she now works in partnership with the senior pharmacist running a joint breast clinic where she prescribes chemotherapy.  Gill is also recognized for the success of her telephone call back service which is now being mimicked in several areas throughout the UK.  She lectures both nationally and internationally and has published numerous papers on breast cancer issues.
