Bernard Jones OBE Chairman of the Board of Trustees

After 43 years in television retailing and 32 years building the Buy As You View oganisation with his friend and business partner Gerald Coleman, Bernard exited the business in July 2004

In 2003/2004 and within the space of seven months Bernard lost his wife Dezna and friend Gerald Coleman to cancer illnesses.  During his time at Buy As You View the business had a long and proud record of supporting community projects including cancer care services and in 2004 Bernard created the Dezna Robins Jones Charitable Foundation with the specific intention of providing financial support for health care services in South Wales.

With the help of funding from the Dezna Robins Jones Charitable Foundation Cancer Care Cymru was established in May 2005.

Bernard was awarded his OBE in 2002 for services to business and the community in South Wales.
